William Hannigan, Former President & Chief Operating Officer

 

William Hannigan is the former president and chief operating officer of AT&T. Hannigan was responsible for AT&T's global network, engineering, operations and the AT&T Labs. He was also responsible for sales, marketing and customer service for AT&T's business, government and wholesale customers worldwide.

Prior to joining AT&T in late 2003, Hannigan was chairman and CEO of Sabre Holdings, an S&P 500 company and world leader in travel, commerce, distribution and technology. He was also chairman of the board for Travelocity.com.

John Hodgson, Former Sr. Vice President & Chief Marketing & Sales Officer

 

John Hodgson enjoyed more than 40 successful years with E.I. DuPont & Co. His career with the company began in 1966 when he became part of the X-Ray Sales and Marketing Management team. From there, Hodgson assumed the role of business management for Electronic Materials and then Diagnostic Systems, based in Geneva, Switzerland. In 1984, Hodgson moved to a global business management role, becoming a vice president and general manager in 1996. In 1998, he became a group vice president and a member of the Operating Team, DuPont's senior leadership group. Hodgson then became Executive Vice President and member of the Office of the Chief Executive in 2002. In 2003, Hodgson was appointed Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, where he remained until his retirement in 2006.

Kent Hussey, Former Chief Executive Officer & Board Member

 

Kent Hussey was appointed chief executive officer of Spectrum Brands in May 2007 and served as one of Spectrum's directors from October 1996 until his recent retirement from the position of chairman. Mr. Hussey continues as a consultant to Spectrum Brands and currently serves on the Board of Directors of American Woodmark Corporation and various privately held companies.

Prior to being named chief executive, he served in a variety of senior management roles with Spectrum Brands including president and chief operating officer, president and chief financial officer and executive vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer. Prior to joining the Spectrum Brands, Mr. Hussey was vice president and chief financial officer of ECC International, a producer of industrial minerals and specialty chemicals. From 1991 to 1994, Mr. Hussey served as vice president and chief financial officer of The Regina Company.

Michael Lister, Former Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

 

Michael D. Lister 'Mike' served as president of Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc. from September 2001 to May 7, 2007 and chief executive officer since September 2003. Mr. Lister served as chief financial officer and chief accounting officer of Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc., and its chief operating officer., from September 2001 to August 2003 and again from June 2001 to August 2001. From October 1999 to May 2001, he served as Executive Vice President of Operations at Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc. He also served as Chief Executive Officer of Jackson Hewitt Inc. From May 1976 to September 1999, he served in various positions with H&R Block, Inc., progressing from a tax preparer to senior vice president and regional director. Mr. Lister served as executive chairman of Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc. from March 2004 to October 2007, and its director until October 2007. He has been member of the Global Advisory Board at JMI., since December 2008.

Robert Malcolm, Former President, Global Marketing, Sales & Innovation

 

Robert (Rob) Malcolm was appointed president, global marketing, sales and innovation of Diageo PLC, the global premium drinks company, in September 2000. He joined Diageo in 1999 and his previous appointments at the company included global marketing director and global scotch whiskey director at UDV, a Diageo company. Malcolm formerly served as scotch category director and then global marketing director with United Distillers & Vintners.

Previous to his employment at Diageo, Mr. Malcolm held various posts at The Procter & Gamble Company from 1975 through 1999, including vice president, general manager, beverages, Europe, Middle East and Africa; vice president, general manager, Arabian Peninsula; and vice president, general manager, Personal Cleaning Products, USA.

Bryan Moss, Former President

 

Bryan Moss became President Emeritus of Gulfstream Aerospace in 2007, following a four-year appointment as president of the company and executive vice president, Aerospace group, General Dynamics Corporation. Prior to this appointment, he served as vice chairman of the company.

His past includes various aeronautical positions. In 1966, Moss joined the Lockheed-Georgia Company, where he was assigned to the engineering administrative group. In 1968, he moved to JetStar Sales, becoming sales manager in 1975. In 1978, he became sales manager, Asia/Australasia, for various Lockheed aircraft.

Mike O'Driscoll, Former Managing Director

 

Mike O'Driscoll was named managing director of Jaguar in 2007, following a seven-year appointment as president, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover North America. As the Jaguar managing director, he led the Jaguar brand through the introduction of an all-new product line-up, including the launch of the award-winning XF, XJ, and XK. His direction of the Jaguar brand culminated with the introduction of the stunning C-X75 supercar concept, which Mr. O'Driscoll unveiled at the Paris Salon in the fall of 2010. After retiring from his full-time duties at Jaguar Land Rover at the end of March 2011, Mr. O'Driscoll remains chairman of Jaguar Heritage.

Prior to being named president, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover North America, Mr. O'Driscoll operated as Marketing and Product Planning Manager for Jaguar North America as well as general sales manager for Jaguar in the United States. From 1995 to 2000, he held a number of executive positions with Ford Motor Company.

As a professional race car driver, Zak Brown launched JMI in 1995 and remains its guiding force. He is a recognized entrepreneur, innovator, deal-maker, and an increasingly important leader in the global motorsports industry. Brown is credited with playing a key role in the historic movement that successfully lifted NASCAR’s 50-plus-year ban on spirits sponsorship in racing in 2005. He has been acknowledged as a PROMO magazine “Marketer of the Year,” a member of Street & Smith’s SportsBusiness Journal’s “Forty Under 40” Hall of Fame and a three-time member of BusinessF1 magazine’s “Formula One Power List.” Brown has also been ranked within the Charlotte Observer’s annual “NASCAR’s Power List.”

Jon Flack, Chief Operating Officer & President, Americas

 

Accountable for day-to-day operations of JMI and product-services development, Jon Flack drives client programs in both domestic and international arenas. Flack’s experience in the corporate sector, in positions with SBC Communications and the Conseco Corporation, provided a strong foundation for creating industry-leading efforts that deliver against quantifiable benchmarks. In addition, his previous roles managing sponsorships within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), National Football League (NFL), Conseco Fieldhouse, IndyCar Series and NASCAR.

Kevin Thimjon, Chief Financial Officer & Chief Administrative Officer

 

Kevin Thimjon is responsible for managing the financial, human resources and information technology activities for JMI. He has more than 20 years of financial management experience and a diverse record of success. Thimjon is a certified public accountant and has held a number of senior executive positions, including president and chief financial officer of Bell Industries, a technology solutions company, and chief financial officer of the systems integration unit of Stanley Security Solutions, a division of The Stanley Works. Additionally, he has held a number of high-ranking roles with ISR Solutions, a high-tech security firm, including executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer.

David Webb, President, International

David Webb is responsible for JMI’s International division, which covers JMI’s Client Services and Business Development activities outside the Americas. Webb has extensive experience in sports marketing and comes to JMI from the Royal Bank of Scotland, where he served as the Head of Group Brand and Marketing. He was previously Head of Sponsorship at RBS, managing its title partnership with Williams F1 as well as the RBS 6 Nations and many of RBS’s golf sponsorships. Prior to RBS, he was Head of Marketing for Jaguar Racing and also worked as Private Secretary to three-time Formula One World Champion and motorsports entrepreneur, Sir Jackie Stewart.

Wesley Zirkle, Executive Vice President/General Counsel

 

Wesley Zirkle serves as JMI’s in-house counsel and primary legal advisor. He is an expert in the field of motorsports law and has negotiated some of the largest and most complex contracts in NASCAR, Formula One™, GRAND-AM, National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), American Le Mans Series (ALMS), The World Rally Championship, and other major motorsports series. His previous experience as an attorney includes nearly five years at CMG Worldwide, a leading intellectual property management and marketing agency representing icons such as James Dean, George Patton, Marilyn Monroe and I♥NY®. In 2011, Zirkle received The President’s Award for Service to the Profession from the Indiana Bar Association for his work in founding and sustaining The Racing Attorneys Conference. He is a member of various associations and boards, including the Sports and Entertainment Executive Committee of the Indianapolis Bar Association. 

Tim Bampton, Senior Vice President, Marketing Communications

 

Tim Bampton has over 20 years in the communications industry, gained across in-house, freelance, agency and client-side roles, representing rights holder, sponsor, team, personality and owner perspectives. His career has spanned the key communications disciplines including corporate affairs, crisis management, brand and sponsorship communications, and issues management across motorsports in general and Formula One™ in particular.

Debbie Campbell, Head of Account Transition

 

Debbie Campbell has been with JMI since 2003. Her early roles and tenure as an account manager for many of JMI's blue-chip clients have prepared her well for her current assignment as Senior Director, Account Transition.

Leading this relatively new division, Campbell’s primary accountability is to shepherd new clients into the agency. Linking early in the process with Partnership Development, Campbell provides services such as estimating, profitability projections and assisting with the initial partner planning and scopes of work. She and her team then manage the transition from Partnership Development to Client Services, often providing short-term account management to ensure JMI can fully deliver creative, customized solutions. Campbell also assists with growing client business through the provision of activation estimates throughout the term of the relationship.

Pat Culleiton, Senior Director, Finance & Operations

 

Pat Culleiton joined JMI's Indianapolis headquarters in 2009 and in 2011, transferred to our London office to oversee finance and administrative operations. In this role, Culleiton works closely with US-based Accounting, Human Resources, IT and Legal departments ensuring infrastructure support for JMI's UK presence.

Culleiton has 20 years of management and finance experience within the motorsports industry. His career highlights include senior positions with Target Chip Ganassi Racing, DellaPenna Motorsports and Red Bull Cheever Racing.

Paula Davis, Senior Director, Human Resources

 

Paula Davis joined the JMI team in September of 2010. A certified senior professional, she is responsible for leading and implementing effective HR and organizational design strategies. In addition to solid experience in labor law compliance, Davis has realized success in creating performance management systems, streamlining internal HR processes, creating and implementing executive and leadership training and has been recognized as a top recruiting producer in the Midwest.

Davis holds a BA degree in Communications and Law from Anderson University. Prior to joining JMI, she held HR Leadership positions in healthcare and manufacturing services. In addition to a strong human resources focus, Davis also has held sales leadership roles with Robert Half International and retailer, Service Merchandise.

Mikel Hartman, Senior Vice President, Client Services

 

Mikel Hartman is accountable for all JMI client service relationships in North America. His previous corporate background includes a 12-year tenure with Ashland, Inc., serving the Valvoline family of brands.

Before joining JMI in 2005, Hartman was the motorsports marketing manager for Valvoline, following a series of sales, marketing and operational posts. He previously managed sponsorships in NASCAR, NHRA, IRL, AMA, USAC, and SCCA, and had the challenge of managing the business of the first consumer products company to own and sponsor a NASCAR Sprint Cup team. His first-hand understanding of brand and corporate sponsorship objectives has provided Hartman with a comprehensive foundation for leading client service and business growth initiatives.

Bryan Kryder, Head of Ideation

 

Bryan Kryder joined JMI in September 2010 and leads our Ideation department. Kryder is charged with strategic and tactical development in creating and optimizing our clients’ motorsports marketing programs.

With over 12 years of sports marketing experience, Kryder has worked on both the agency and property side of the industry and brings a well-rounded perspective on successful motorsports activation through his previous work at GMR Marketing, International Speedway Corporation, PacWest Racing, and Executive Sports Management. Throughout his career, Kryder has collaborated with major brands including UPS, U.S. Army, Visa, Motorola, Kodak, Jim Beam, NASCAR, and Toyota as these brands have developed motorsports platforms.

Matthew Marsh, Senior Vice President, Partnership Development, Asia

 

Matthew Marsh has lived in Hong Kong for the past 20 years and has been active in motorsports since 1986. The Briton is responsible for developing and leading JMI's business in Asia, and prior to joining JMI, Marsh had a successful career on the track, which included becoming the first driver to represent Hong Kong in the 24 hours of Le Mans.

Marsh has introduced numerous Asian corporations to the advantages of motorsports as a marketing platform and appears as a guest presenter on ESPN Star TV's coverage of the Formula One™ World Championship. He also contributes a regular column to the China Daily newspaper.

Greg Nordhoff, Corporate Controller

 

Greg Nordhoff joined JMI in September 2010 and is responsible for the daily accounting operations and financial reporting of the company.

Nordhoff is a certified public accountant with over 15 years of experience in both public accounting and industry. Prior to JMI, he worked for Crowe Horwath, LLP, a top-eight global public accounting firm, where he was a senior manager in the audit practice. Nordhoff served both Securities and Exchange Commission registrants, private-equity-owned and privately held companies in a variety of industries. He also held various accounting roles in the distribution, software and hospitality industries.

Nick Pearson, Senior Director, Marketing Communications

Nick Pearson joined JMI in 2009 and is responsible for the agency's marketing communications offering to its F1™ clients, including communications, digital and design. Nick has over 12 years of experience activating global brands within motorsport, His agency background includes working with some of the biggest brands in sport including Johnnie Walker, Lucky Strike, UBS, LG Electronics, GlaxoSmithKline, Sony PlayStation and Guinness.

Eric Pinkham, Vice President, Partnership Development - North America

Eric Pinkham comes to JMI with over 15 years of experience of working with leading brands in sports marketing, on both client and agency side. He shepherded retail and experiential marketing programs in NASCAR while at Black & Decker/DeWALT and built a close knowledge of U.S. major league sports through sponsors and properties, including Ford Motor Company, General Mills, New York Rangers, New York Giants, Boston Celtics, Boston Bruins and the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA).

While Vice President, Sponsorship & Event Marketing at Newell Rubbermaid, Pinkham was responsible for major motorsports activations that integrated sponsorship properties into the mainstream business functions for brands such as Rubbermaid, Sharpie and IRWIN Tools.

Aled Rees, Senior Vice President, Strategy & Consulting

 

Aled Rees joined JMI to manage the fulfillment of deliverables to JMI’s corporate accounts participating in the FIA Formula One™ World Championship. These include LG Electronics, UBS, Diageo (Johnnie Walker), and FXDD.

Rees joined JMI from Vodafone Group Services Ltd., where he was global head of F1 sponsorship. In that role, Rees was responsible for planning and integrating a global strategic framework for the brand's F1 property. Over a seven-year period, he successfully integrated Vodafone's first global sponsorship property (Ferrari F1) into the marketing mix across business and consumer channels in all key markets. He also helped negotiate and manage Vodafone's move from Ferrari to McLaren.

Previously, Rees worked in the Global Event Marketing department of Philip Morris International where he worked on Marlboro brand sponsorships in F1 and MotoGP.

Clive Richards, Senior Vice President, Partnership Development, EMEA

Clive Richards joined JMI as Senior Vice President, Partnership Development, EMEA, with responsibility for business development across the region.

He has over 17 years of experience in global sports marketing, previously heading up sponsorship at Wembley Stadium, where he established the Founding Partner and Official Supplier programme. He also spent eight years at IMG working in partnership sales and account management roles.

Prior to JMI, Clive led an innovative 3D digital business in the gaming space and acted in an international business development role with Engage Sports Media, whose clients include The FA, Manchester City, the International Rugby Board and HSBC.

Kevin Warner, Head of Event Marketing

Kevin Warner joined JMI in 2005 and oversees the agency’s Event Marketing division across North America.  Warner has played a key role over the last several years in developing marketing plans and sponsorship activation strategies for a variety of client programs such as Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Apex-Brasil, DIRECTV, ESPN, IRWIN Industrial Tools, Smirnoff Ice and SUBWAY Restaurants to name a few.

With over 12 years of sports marketing experience, Kevin has held posts on both the agency and client-side of the industry.  Prior to joining JMI, Kevin’s career path included stints with Sweet Traditions LLC (a Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Area Developer), The GEM Group, and the Indiana University Athletic Department.

Dan Wieringa, Senior Director, IT

 

Dan Wieringa joined the JMI team in 2009 and is responsible for planning the future of technology within JMI and facilitating the support and procurement of all JMI IT equipment globally.

His background includes a Master's Degree in Information Systems Management and 13 years of IT management with some of the world's largest manufacturing and software development firms. The Chicago native also spent four years with Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART) managing an online social media program voted No. 1 by CART fans.

Wieringa’s understanding of every level of IT systems management and how to connect them to business needs allows JMI to have its imagination untethered in its pursuit of the best solutions available in the service of our clients.
