1. The IZOD IndyCar Series is not an open formula, it is essentially a one-make or "spec" series, Dallara currently provides the chassis to all teams and Honda is the sole engine provider.
2. The IZOD IndyCar Series contains the Indianapolis 500 which offers a permanent seating capacity for more than 257,000 people and infield seating that raises capacity further to an approximate 400,000, creating the largest single-day sporting event in the world.
